Minnetonka
Adult education and support
The West Suburban Grief Coalition sponsors ongoing education and support groups for grieving adults. The program is the combined effort of sixteen West Suburban area churches and intended to help adults suffering from the loss of a loved one. Each week there are learning, healing and growing experiences offered through professional speakers, videos and breakout sessions. Trained volunteers in support group facilitation are the leaders for the breakout sessions that consist of spouse, child, parent, sibling and other significant deaths. Individuals may attend the group at any time by coming to a meeting or by contacting grief coordinators.
When: Meeting structure remains the same - 4:00 - 4:30pm social time, 4:30 - 5:00pm devotional and speaker and 5:00 - 6:00pm individual break out groups.

Adult grief series: "Growing Through Grief"
Queen of Peace Hospital hosts an education and support series for adults who have lost a loved one.

Miscarriage/Infant Loss 1-on-1 Support
Grieving for a baby is very different than grieving for another loved one. One-on-one support is available to those who need to share their feelings in a safe environment and gain support from others who have had similar experiences. This interdenominational program is cosponsored by St. Wenceslaus Church Pastoral Ministries and Queen of Peace Hospital Spiritual Care Services.

Grieving Death & Growing
Ongoing education and support group sponsored by the Bloomington-Richfield Grief Support Coalition (a coalition of churches).
When: Thursdays 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Education 4:30-5:00, Small Groups 5:00-6:00).

Compassionate Friend
The mission of The Compassionate Friend is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age, and to provide information to help others be supportive. If you have had a child die at any age, from birth to adult, these meetings are for you. We are an international, nonprofit, self-help support organization with almost 600 chapters. There is no religious affiliation. Parents, grandparents, siblings (over age 12), extended family, and visitors are welcome.
When: The second Monday of every month, 7 PM.
