New Ulm Medical Center observes 25 years of offering substance abuse services

[New Ulm Journal, September 2, 2010] New Ulm Medical Center marked its 25th anniversary of offering substance abuse services on Wednesday by honoring staff and listening to a patient's story of recovery.

Steve Schneider, director of the Substance Abuse Services at New Ulm Medical Center, said the service has seen thousands of patients over the years. Edina man remembers friend with donation to golf program for individuals with disabilities

[Edina Sun Current, August 26, 2010] Edina resident Scott Flaherty is remembering his friend the best way he knows how. In August, with the family of the late Mike Lust, he held a fundraiser to benefit the Sister Kenny Golf Program for Individuals with Physical Disabilities.

The golf league, a service of Allina's Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, has met every Monday afternoon at Edina's municipal golf course for more than 30 years. Read the full story on mnsun.com...

Disaster drill draws responders

[Coon Rapids Herald, August 25, 2010] If you were driving on eastbound Highway 10 through Coon Rapids, Minnesota on Saturday, August 21, you may have been startled by the sight of an overturned school bus and emergency personnel around it. Do not be alarmed. This was just a drill.
