Dr. Jeff Rayl is New Ulm Medical Center’s new ED medical director

NEW ULM, Minn. 03/17/2009--Jeff Rayl, DO, a board-certified emergency medicine specialist, is now in charge of the Emergency Department at New Ulm Medical Center. He will continue to work regular shifts in the ED in addition to his new medical director duties.

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue to improve the patient’s ED experience, both clinically and in customer service,” said Dr. Rayl.

Rayl completed medical school at Des Moines University and a residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. He has practiced emergency medicine in Dubuque, Iowa, Duluth and surrounding areas.

New Ulm Medical Center’s ED is open 24 hours a day and staffed by specially-trained physicians, nurses and technicians who are supported by full-service imaging and laboratory services. A wide range of specialists are also on call for emergency treatment. Patients made more than 10,932 visits to New Ulm Medical Center’s ED in 2008.
