New Ulm Medical Center welcomes Victor Khayat, MD
NEW ULM, Minn. 04/07/2009--New Ulm Medical Center welcomes Victor Khayat, MD, to its physician staff. Dr. Khayat offers OB/GYN care for adult women of all ages. "It's very rewarding helping mothers and delivering babies," said Dr. Khayat. "I am looking forward to providing medical care to a progressive community and being a part of a clinic that offers high quality medical care."
Dr. Khayat is a native of Washington, D.C. He graduated from the University College Dublin Medical School in Dublin, Ireland and completed his OB/GYN residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, where he was chief resident in his final year. He was interested in learning his specialty in Ireland because, "Dublin is the home of obstetrics," he said. "The first ever truly women's hospital was the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin."
Dr. Khayat has a special interest in high risk obstetrics, advanced laparoscopic surgery, urinary incontinence and female sexual dysfunction. He is board certified in OB/GYN and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to joining New Ulm Medical Center, Dr. Khayat practiced with Multicare Associates, based out of Blaine and Fridley, Minn.
Dr. Khayat is also a major in the Army Medical Corp. He and his wife, Kelly Greene, a native Dubliner, will be relocating the New Ulm area.
