Harvest Moon Barn Dance to raise money for chemotherapy, free clinic

River Falls, Wis. 09/12/2007--The Kinnickinnic Health Foundation's second annual Harvest Moon Barn Dance will be on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Westridge Farms (Mark and Val Sylla's place), just north of the intersection of County Road MM and Townsvalley Road in rural River Falls, Wisconsin.

Last year's event raised more than $50,000 for the Free Clinic of Pierce and St. Croix Counties. Proceeds of this year's event will help start chemotherapy services at River Falls Area Hospital and will also support the Free Clinic.

"We had a great turn out last year," said planning committee member Pam Deal, "and are planning for an even bigger crowd this year. We are hoping for 500 people, and the space we'll be in can accommodate up to 1,000. My message to everyone who came and had fun last year is to come again - and bring your friends!"

The Barn Dance will feature a barbeque dinner from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and live music by "Stampede" from 7:30-11:30 p.m. An auction and raffles will be held throughout the evening. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Those attending the barbecue dinner will be asked for a free-will offering to help cover costs.

Event sponsorships are abvailable at several levels, including gold ($1,000), silver ($500) and bronze ($250). For more information about tickets, sponsorships, or donating an item for the auction or raffle, call foundation director Heather Logelin at 426-4503.
