Take Heart Anoka County offers CPR training you can do at home
COON RAPIDS and FRIDLEY, Minn. 07/30/2008--Take Heart Anoka County is offering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to individuals using the American Heart Association's Friends and Family CPR kit. Participants keep the kits. Each kit includes a mini-CPR manikin, practice DVD and booklet.
A $10 deposit check will be collected on the day of the class. The deposit is refundable when the participant trains three additional people within 60 days of the class.
People have the option to donate their money to the Mercy & Unity Hospitals Foundation for ongoing support of Take Heart Anoka County, or they can request a refund.
"Our goal is to train as many people as possible," said Susan Nygaard, Take Heart site manager. "You don't need to be a medical professional to know how to do CPR and how to use an AED."
